Café Luitpold
Food
After the check in we went to Café Luitpold. This is one of the most traditional cafés in Munich. Everything seems very noble and elegant. We immediately felt comfortable and ate a delicious piece of cake and had a cup of coffee. During the Second World War this luxurious café was destroyed, fortunately it was rebuilt in 1948.
Pricewise there was nothing for us to complain about. For example the piece of rhubarb cake from my husband cost 3,30€.

Toy Museum Munich
Art
The Old Town Hall was also destroyed during the Second World War, but lovingly rebuilt. It also houses the Toy Museum. My husband and I were able to see a huge collection of old toys from Europe and the USA. We found this very interesting and think that the 6€ entrance fee is ok.

Viktualienmarkt
Food
Those who like fresh food and specialities should definitely stroll through the Viktualienmarkt. Once this market was a farmer's market, but it has now developed into a market for gourmets.
But my husband and I were not hungry, so we simply looked at the many stalls and drank a delicious beer in the sun.

Siegestor
History
After a short walk through the old town we arrived at the Siegestor in the Marxvorstadt and took some photos for our children. They are now out of the age when they go on holiday with their parents.

Atzinger Wirtshaus
Food
A classic German dinner was served that day at the Atzinger Inn. This is not far from the Siegestor and has almost all German classics on the menu and much more. I can definitely recommend the delicious apple strudel for dessert. Childhood memories have been awakened there! In total we paid 40€ for food and drinks that evening.

Self-Service Beer Bar (Munich)
Food
Then we had a nice nightcap at the StammBar. Here I could prove to my husband that I can tap the beer better than he can. Because the special thing about this bar is that there is a beer wall where you can tap your own beer. Furthermore there are many different kinds of whisky. The prices are a little bit higher, but the self tapping is fun and therefore we would come a second time.
