    Luca Apartment

There are a lot (!) of cabs in Tbilisi. Don't wait for shiny new Skoda cabs with brand-name beads; it's much simpler: you raise your hand and in a couple of minutes you'll see a line of people wanting a ride. Haggling is possible and necessary! If you offered a price and you immediately agree with you - a lot of offering! Name the minimum amount you are willing to spend, and do not be afraid of categorical denials - not the second so the third, not the third or fourth cab driver drove you. In my memory, no one drove around for more than GEL 8. Also don't forget about buses and subway - in my opinion only elevators in residential buildings are cheaper! Yes, yes :) You can meet people like that too - just drop a 10 tetri coin and use it!
I categorically deny hostels, so accommodation is not the most budget-friendly of the presented options. Too bad, the integration with booking.com is still in development, there I found options more interesting in terms of price. And in the current situation I was bribed by the proximity to the subway, the center and an interesting interior.

    SABATONO

Based solely on my own habit after arrival to check in, eat, and only then explore the city, I choose a cafe with national cuisine within walking distance from the hotel.

Funicular Lower Station (ფუნიკულიორის ქვედა სადგური)

The carriages are fast, and the line goes fast. Many people advise to take a one-way ticket and walk down. There is, but I can't tell you the exact time to go down.

    Griboedov's Grave | გრიბოედოვის საფლავი

The map of this site suggests walking. In reality, however, the cable car makes a stop in the middle of the cable car and there you can get off and walk to the Mtatsminda writers' pantheon.

Mtatsminda Park Observation Deck | მთაწმინის პარკის დაკვირვების ბაქანი

And this is where the "local" maps let us down. The park begins exactly at the steps of the cable car. A lot of activities for children, a lot of hidden corners and paths. Great views of the city and the mountains. A good place to spend a couple of hours.

Funicular Complex | ფუნიკულიორის კომპლექსი (ფუნიკულიორის კომპლექსი)

Doughnuts! The most beautiful doughnuts are in the "Funicular" restaurant. Looking at its name, I think it is clear where it is located :) We are still laughing at the dialogue during the tasting:
    • Something between a doughnut and an eclair.
    • No, something between happiness and joy!
We haven't tried the rest of the menu, but the reviews aren't bad, so I think it's safe to grab a couple of khachapuri while enjoying the views.

    Royal Bath | სამეფო აბანო

Sulfur baths. "Not visiting them is like coming to Paris and not climbing the Eiffel Tower. I think after a long walk, it's perfect!
