    Unterlinden Museum

When in Colmar, it is really advisable to visit the Unterlinden Museum. It is harbored in a former monastery, and you can find 3 floors of history and art. The basement contains pieces from the 19th and 20th Century, and also connects the two other parts of the museum. 1 part covers ancient pieces like the Isenheimer altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald, and the other more modern art.
