    Basilica of Saint Nicholas

I walked to the "Basilica San Nicola", which was not really far. According to my opinion, the cathedral is simply a must if one is already in Bari for a visit. The church consists on several different architectural styles and is almost always well visited. What I really liked was that everything was very well maintained, as there were nowhere where the plaster came from the ceiling or the walls were dirty. All around it was a great experience, even if I would not call myself the greatest churchgoer.

    Castello Svevo di Bari

Next we went to the "Castello Normanno". The castle is also very easy to reach on foot and is really a feast for the eyes. In the past it offered protection from enemies, today it serves as a photo backdrop and meeting place for locals. From here you have a wonderful view of the sea and the rocks that go down metres just behind the walls.

    Antica gelateria Gentile

After I had dealt enough with the culture of the city it was time for an ice cream. The "Gelateria Gentile" was the perfect place for that and by chance I met the family from yesterday again. They were also on their way to the "Aquapark Bari" and so I spontaneously went along and had a great time. I can also highly recommend the ice cream here, because it is made fresh every day and has daily changing flavours.

    AcquaPark Bari

Arrived at the aquapark we looked for a place and then we started. I am not twenty anymore, but that does not stop me from still climbing on the slides and jumping into the wave pool. The park can really serve with everything that makes children's and adults' hearts beat faster - no matter if countless slides, a water playground or sunbathing areas under palm trees. Enjoy the sun and don't forget to put on some sunscreen, because it gets very hot here very quickly and I got a slight sunburn.

    Il Grottino

For dinner I chose "Il Grottino". It was also recommended to me by the hotel, where I made a little stopover before I went on to dinner. The restaurant is an excellent pizzeria that in my opinion makes the best pizza of the city. For this, I ordered a wine again and I generally advise you to ask for the house wine in regions that are known for their wine cultivation. The wine from "Il Grottino" tasted delicious.
