Pop Cereal Café Porto
For breakfast there was a real highlight. We went to the Pop Cereal Cafe, a cafe where you can try all kinds of breakfast cereals! In a bowl we could put together or have the craziest sweet combinations - a real childhood dream for me and my boyfriend. We would have loved to stay here the whole day to try all kinds of cornflakes and breakfast cereals.

Câmara Municipal do Porto - Loja da Mobilidade
Afterwards we started the day with a visit to the city hall of Porto. The city hall is a big granite building which really looks very impressive. It is located at the end of a big street and has six floors inside and twelve granite figures on the detailed exterior façade. I don't think you can look at the town hall from the inside, but that's not too bad either.

Avenida dos Aliados (Obsolete)
The Avenida dos Aliados is the boulevard in the centre of Porto, here, every tourist passes by. At the beginning of the street there is the church Igreja da Santissima Trindade and at the sides of the street there are many historical buildings of the Gründerzeit. Here you can stroll along and have a look at the surroundings and the small shops. We liked the street very much.

Porto Cathedral
Se Catedral is the main church of Porto. It is also the seat of the diocese. The church is very large and impressive and worth a visit. Also here we could see beautiful wall paintings and admire the blue and white azuleios. I really fell in love with these beautiful tiles and took some as decoration for our apartment.

Restaurante Intrigo
For lunch we went to the Intrigo. Here we had a great view of the city and could enjoy a very tasty meal. You can sit here while eating on a terrace above the roofs of the city. We took great photos here as a souvenir. For dinner we ordered a selection of small dishes and finger foods and it was very tasty.

Church of Saint Francis
The Sar Francisco church is another special experience in Porto. At first it was the modest church of the Franciscan order, but later it was significantly rebuilt. And the interior of the church has really knocked us out. Everything, really everything is covered from top to bottom with fine and artistic wood carvings. And these carvings are gilded. So it looks like this whole room has been dipped in gold. It is really impressive and beautiful and you should not miss it.

Foz do Douro, Porto, Portugal
Afterwards we took the tram to the sea. Foz do Douro is a quarter at the sea, known for its great sand beaches. The somewhat further way until there is worthwhile. Like us, you can take a walk along the Atlantic coast. There is also a very nice lighthouse here. The promenade and the shore area look like something out of a movie, the buildings and the colours are just great. Here we took a lot of pictures of us and the surroundings, which I can post on my blog.

Laurear
After the great sea air we went back to the city for dinner. In the Laurear we enjoyed very delicious Portuguese dishes again. Also this restaurant was very small again, I just like it. The atmosphere was just great and we were served very nicely. In these small restaurants you can best experience the hospitality and mentality of the Portuguese.

Ponte Dom Luís I
Then we are once again in the dark to the Ponte Luis to enjoy the view over the city also at night. As a small digestive walk we walked once over the bridge and back again. The dark and quiet city and the black water below us were simply impressive.
