    Alchemia od Kuchni

With our new friends we met first for breakfast. We almost passed by here, the more grateful we were to our friends for this tip: the restaurant is arranged with a lot of love to the detail, the breakfast menu is fresh and offers something for every taste at moderate prices.

    Wawel Royal Castle-State Art Collection

Finally we went to the royal castle on Wawel Hill. Here you not only have a beautiful view of the Vistula, but also learn a lot about the history of the city - real and mythological, because a dragon is said to have lived below the hill. A sculpture that even breathes fire is a reminder of this.
Unfortunately we had to wait very long for the tickets, so make sure you get them online before the trip. You can also just visit the outdoor area, which is even free of charge.

    Ariel

After our tour through Wawel we are drawn to the Jewish quarter of the city and have a break at the Ariel. Here you can enjoy delicious polish-kosher cuisine. The Berdytchov soup is simply a dream and the dessert menu also has some delicacies.

    Stara Synagoga

Only a few steps away we visit the Jewish Museum in the old synagogue. It is actually the oldest one in Krakow, but there are no more prayers here and therefore you don't have to wear a kippa.
In the permanent exhibition one gets a good insight into Jewish life in Krakow.

    Tempel. Synagoga

After the visit to the museum we felt like visiting an active synagogue and walked to the temple synagogue, the youngest in the district. The interior is kept in an oriental style and I especially liked the small details. Unfortunately we couldn't stay there that long, because the synagogue closes at 5 pm for visitors.

Wall of former WWII Jewish Ghetto

As there would not have been enough time to visit the museum in Schindler's former enamel factory, we walked across the Vistula River to the "Monument of Empty Chairs" and searched for the remains of the former ghetto wall, which still stand in Lvovskas Street.

    Moment

On our way back we stop at this stylish restaurant. With relaxed music you can expect a well-balanced menu with classic pasta, steak and fish dishes. The prices are reasonable and the interior decoration adds a lot to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
By the way, we were very happy to have walked so much, because especially in Kazimierz there is great street art to see.

    House of Beer

Before we returned to the hotel we stopped for a beer. If you like Craft Beer, you've come to the right place. Some corners were a bit too rustic for me, but the large selection and the friendly bartender convinced us.
